The goal of this product is to implement search function where a visitor may select the Year, Make, and model of their vehicle(s) using simple drop-downs and then view a list of the vehicles or parts or accessories which will fit their vehicle.<\/p>\n

How to Install Year Make Model Standard Magento 2.0\u00a0Extension<\/span><\/h2>\n

Take a backup of the Magento files before replacing<\/p>\n

Steps:-<\/h3>\n

1. Take a backup of the Magento files before replacing.<\/p>\n

2. Extract the files, inside the folder “magento_ce_2.x_ymm_v2.0”<\/p>\n

3. Upload the “Globalecom” folder under app\/code on Magento root.<\/p>\n

4. Upload\u00a0ymm-search-results.phtml\u00a0file\u00a0under \u00a0vendor\/magento\/module-catalog\/view\/frontend\/templates\/product\u00a0folder<\/p>\n

5. Run below the commands on ssh<\/p>\n

php bin\/magento setup:upgrade
\nphp bin\/magento setup:di:compile
\nphp bin\/magento setup:static-content:deploy<\/p>\n

Now clear all caches and var\/generation folder.\u00a0Login to admin panel > Stores > Configuration > Advanced Your module should be listed here now.<\/p>\n

Check module ‘Globalecom_Ymm’ => 1, is listed in app\/etc\/config.php file.<\/p>\n

Steps to be followed in admin panel to setup attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1: Create Attribute<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Stores -> Product->Add new Attributes<\/p>\n

Enter Atttribute data as follows<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Click Add attributes button<\/p>\n

Create attribute “make”\u00a0 like below the screen,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Follow the instruction for create “makes” attribute code,\u00a0<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Default Label: Make
\nAttribute code: make
\nUse in quick search =>Yes
\nSearch Weight => 1
\nVisible in Advanced Search =>Yes
\nAllow HTML Tags on Storefront =>Yes
\nVisible on Catalog Pages on Storefront =>Yes
\nUsed in Product Listing => Yes
\nUsed for Sorting in Product Listing =>Yes<\/p>\n

Similarly Create attributes\u00a0 \u201cv_model\u201d and\u00a0<\/span>\u201cyear\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Note:- <\/span><\/b>It should be\u00a0 \u201cmake\u201d, \u201cv_model\u201d,\u00a0\u201cyear\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Assign attributes to Attribute Set<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Stores-> Attributes set<\/p>\n

Then Click on Default.\u00a0Click the button Add New under Groups<\/p>\n

You can find a pop up Explore User Prompt. Please enter the group name\u00a0\u201cYearMakeModel\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

A group will be created at the end you can drag and drop to your respective location and save.<\/p>\n

Products->Catalog->Add product<\/span><\/p>\n

You can find a new tab\u00a0YearMakeModel<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0on the left side. Fill in all the required details and assign the product to a category as needed.<\/p>\n

Note: make, v_model and year can take multiple values if the product has several vehicle fitments. Please enter values in comma separated format. For Example:<\/p>\n

Make= Acura,Audi<\/p>\n

Model= ILX,A4<\/p>\n

Year= 2016,2017<\/p>\n

Step 4:\u00a0Add a new page for YmmSearch and YmmSearch results<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Content-> Pages -> Add New Page<\/p>\n
