Installation Steps for Product Selector Extension<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Take a backup of the Magento files before replacing<\/li>\n
  2. Extract the files inside Magento Installation Root Magento_App_Root folder is same as your Magento 2.0 Installation directory<\/li>\n
  3. For installing module,initially we will createjson,registration.php,module.xml<\/strong>files.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Composer.json<\/strong>\u00a0is used for the configuration of magento2.0 module.<\/p>\n

    registration.php<\/strong>\u00a0allows you to create modules in the app\/code folder,we create the file instead of config.xml file which is now used for module configuration variables.<\/p>\n

    module.xml\u00a0<\/strong>is kind of the entry point of module It\u2019s the equivalent of app\/etc\/modules\/[Namespace]_[Module].xml in magento 1.<\/p>\n

    Add composer.json , registration.php and module.xml files in your module by following path\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \/app\/code\/Namespace\/Module\/composer.json\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. After Transferring files we have to register our module inapp\/etc\/config.xml\u00a0<\/strong>In the array module, add the element: \u2018Namespace_Modulename => 1<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Open Command line in folder root of magento and run commands magento setup:upgradeNow clear all caches and var\/generation folder.\u00a0Login to admin panel > Stores > Configuration > Advanced Your module should be listed here now.<\/p>\n

      Steps to be followed in admin panel to setup attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Step 1:<\/u>\u00a0Create Attribute:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Stores -> Product<\/p>\n

      Select all option yes for Use in quick search, Use in advanced search, Comparable on Front-end, Use In Search Results Layered Navigation, Allow HTML-tags on Front-end, Visible on Product View Page on Front-end, Used in product listing, Used for sorting in product listing<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Similarly Create attributes\u00a0 \u201cps_make\u201d and\u00a0<\/span>\u201cps_model\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

      Please make a note of the 3 Attribute Codes. It should be\u00a0 \u201cps_make\u201d, \u201cps_model\u201d,\u00a0\u201cps_year\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

      Step 2:<\/span><\/u>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span>Assign attributes to Attribute Set:<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

      Create Attribute Set<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Stores-> Attributes set<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      You can find a pop up Explore User Prompt. Please enter the group name\u00a0\u201cProductselector\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

      A group will be created at the end you can drag and drop to your respective location.<\/p>\n

      Note: \u201cps_make\u201d, \u201cps_model\u201d,\u00a0\u201cps_year\u201d<\/strong> \u00a0can take multiple values if the product has several vehicle fitments. Please enter values in comma separated format. For Example:<\/p>\n

      Make=Audi, Toyota, Ford<\/p>\n

      Model=Accord, Camry, Focus<\/p>\n

      Year=2006,2007,2008,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014<\/p>\n

      Step 4:<\/u>\u00a0Add a new page for YmmpSearch:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Content-> Pages-> Add New Page<\/p>\n

      How to uninstall the Product Selector extension<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Please follow the instructions below to uninstall Product Selector extension and remove from your website.
      \nStep 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Go to the location\u00a0app\/etc\/config.xml<\/strong>
      \nFind the module Globalecom_Ps => 1
      \nand change it to\u00a00<\/strong>
      \nRefresh the Cache in admin panel->System->Cache Management<\/strong>
      \nStep 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Remove the file category-search.phtml in the following location.
