2.How to Install Brand Model Search Magento 2 Installation<\/span><\/h2>\n

2.1. Upload Extension files using Filezilla to app\/code folder<\/b><\/h4>\n

1. Take a backup of the Magento files before replacing.<\/p>\n

2. Extract the files from the package.<\/p>\n

3. Upload the “Globalecomservices” folder under app\/code on Magento root.<\/p>\n

Example: app\/code\/Globalecomservices<\/div>\n

2.2. Run Installation commands in SSH<\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Login to your server with SSH (using putty or similar tool). Go to your Magento root folder (Usually<\/span> public_html folder) and run commands below. This is the standard Magento extension installation<\/span> procedure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. a) Enable Gift wrap modules using command below:<\/b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. b) Run upgrade command: <\/b>(This is a standard Magento command)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. c) Run di Compile command\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. d) Redeploy static content\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. e) Verify if the module is listed\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            To list modules, run the following command<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            php -d memory_limit=-1 bin\/magento module:status<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

            3. Setup attributes<\/b><\/h2>\n

            3.1. Create Attribute<\/b><\/p>\n

            Stores -> Product->Add new Attributes<\/p>\n

            3.1.1 Enter Atttribute data as follows<\/b><\/p>\n

            Click Add attributes button<\/p>\n

            Create attribute “brands”\u00a0 like below<\/p>\n

            3.1.2. Follow the instruction to create \u201cd_brands\u201d attribute code, <\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            Default Label: brands
            \nAttribute code: d_brands<\/strong>
            \nUse in quick search =>Yes
            \nSearch Weight => 1
            \nVisible in Advanced Search =>Yes
            \nAllow HTML Tags on Storefront =>Yes
            \nVisible on Catalog Pages on Storefront =>Yes
            \nUsed in Product Listing => Yes
            \nUsed for Sorting in Product Listing =>Yes<\/p>\n

            3.1.3. Similarly Create attributes\u00a0 \u201cd_models\u201d\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

            Note:-\u00a0<\/span><\/b>It should be\u00a0 \u201cd_brands<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cd_models<\/b>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

            3.2.\u00a0 Assign attributes to Attribute Set<\/b><\/p>\n

            Click the button Add New Groups .Please enter the group name\u00a0\u201cBrandmodel\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

            A group will be created at the end you can drag and drop to your respective location and save.<\/p>\n

            3.3. Add Brand\u00a0 model data to products:-<\/b><\/p>\n

            Products->Catalog->Add product<\/span><\/p>\n

            You can find a new tab Brands Models\u00a0<\/i><\/b>on the left side. Fill in all the required details and assign the product to a category as needed.<\/p>\n

            Note: d_brands, d_models\u00a0 attributes can take multiple values if the product has several fitments. Please select multiple select format. For Example, some products such as accessories, may fit multiple brands and models.<\/p>\n

            4. Setup Static Block<\/b><\/h2>\n

            4.1.\u00a0 Add a static block for Brand model\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

            Admin-> Content-> Blocks-> Add New Block<\/span><\/h2>\n

            Admin->Catalog->Categories->Select respective category->Below description area there is a section (Add CMS Block) to call static block to that category page in that select Brand Model and save the category.<\/p>\n
